Frequently asked questions
What is the format of the training?
Our training programs are self-paced instructional modules with videos that will walk you through the techniques and must-do’s when it comes to machinery installation and precision maintenance. We have developed it so it closely resembles the order in which you would approach doing these tasks in the field. There are quizzes at the end of most sections, and downloadable documents and checklists that you can print and carry anywhere.
What does certification include and is it globally recognized?
Our training programs are developed using the ANSI-ASA_S2.75 shaft alignment standard as a guideline. After taking our online training, you will be able to take the Level 1 Alignment Specialist exam and get certified by the Canadian Machinery Vibration Association (CMVA). The CMVA is an ISO certified company that administers the Level 1 Alignment Specialist certification—currently the only one if its kind in the world. MAAD is a certified training partner for the CMVA and this certification.
What is the guarantee? What is the refund policy?

- The student/user did not access any portion of the online course AND the student/user requests a refund, in writing via email within 14 business days from the date of the registration (email notification sent). There will be no refunds for any online courses (or curricula) once a course has been accessed in any manner.
- A full refund will be issued less an administrative fee of $50 USD.
Who can benefit from the training?
Anyone involved in maintenance! Of course, this training was developed for millwrights and maintenance technicians that work on rotating machinery however, middle management positions such as foremen, supervisors, superintendents and reliability engineers will all benefit from this training.
